If you would like to receive more information about the U3A, or talk to us
about joining, please do any of the following:

Contact our chairman, VICE-CHAIRMAN or
MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY (see committee
details below). They will be pleased to tell you more about the U3A and will
arrange to send you an information pack.

Come along as a visitor to one of
our monthly general meetings, most of which are held at Chard Guildhall at 2pm
on the third Monday of each month (except August when there is no meeting, and
at Christmas and some other times when we hold a lunch gathering instead). You will
be given a warm welcome and members of the committee will be pleased to talk to
you. Details of the speakers at monthly meetings are given in our regular
newsletter and we also usually publicise them in the Chard & Ilminster News. (See also 'News &
Events')

Talk to the group LEADER of the group or
groups that you are interested in joining (click on 'Groups' option above). You
are most welcome to attend two group meetings as a visitor before deciding
whether to join.

WHEN AND
WHERE? You can join our U3A at any time of the year, either
at a monthly meeting or by directly contacting our treasurer (see below).

HOW MUCH?
Membership currently involves paying an annual subscription of £12, plus 50p for
each group meeting and monthly general meeting attended (only 30p for meetings
held in private houses). A reduced annual subscription applies if people join
after the end of September. The financial year starts on 1st March.
